Hexham Wind Farm is a proposed renewable energy project located between Hexham, Caramut and Ellerslie in the Moyne Shire in south-west Victoria.

Wind Prospect is progressing through the environmental and planning approvals process for the development of a proposed wind farm, which is located approximately 15 kilometres west of Mortlake and 15 kilometres north-east of Woolsthorpe. Hexham is the nearest community, approximately three kilometres north-east of the proposed Project area.

In September 2024, the Department of Transport and Planning issued the final scoping requirements, setting the framework for detailed investigations for the Environment Effects Statement (EES).

As part of the EES process, independent experts are undertaking comprehensive studies on the impacts of the proposed development on key areas including biodiversity, water, noise and vibration, landscape and visual amenity, and cultural heritage.

The proposed Project includes up to 106 wind turbines and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), subject to the outcomes of the approvals process and ongoing community consultation.
