The Hexham Wind Farm (the project) is a proposed renewable energy project located between Hexham, Caramut and Ellerslie in the Moyne Shire in south-west Victoria.
The project would incorporate up to 106 wind turbines with a total height of up to 260 metres from ground to blade tip, an on-site terminal station, battery energy storage system (BESS) and other associated infrastructure. An Environment Effects Statement (EES) has been prepared EES in accordance with the Ministerial guidelines for the assessment of environmental effects under the Environment Effects Act 1978 (Vic) and scoping requirements issued by the Minister for Planning for the project. A planning permit application has also been prepared, in accordance with the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (Vic).
We’re here to help.
You can access all the information related to the EES and the exhibition period from this webpage.
How to navigate the EES
We have prepared a fact sheet to help you to understand the EES materials and the submission process. You can access this fact sheet, along with other EES material and project information from the News and Resources webpage.
Read the EES
The EES is on formal exhibition from Tuesday 27 January to Wednesday 11 March 2026. After reviewing the EES, you can make a written submission to Engage Victoria about any matters of interest related to the project.
The full EES document includes 29 introductory chapters, an executive summary and an EES summary document. To make it easier to navigate the document, each chapter has been separated. You can view or download each chapter from the EES Chapters page of the website.
The EES also includes a number of technical appendices, which outline the approach and methodology applied to each study, the findings, and proposed mitigation and management measures and additional attachments that support information contained within the EES chapters. You can view or download the technical appendices and attachments from the Technical Appendices page of the website.
